Gobblers are starting to fall, which must mean spring is close. Rumor has it that Daylight Savings Time was invented just to get into spring turkey season sooner. I kid, DST was invented by Germans during WWI, and it wasn't so they could kill more turkeys.
I think moving clocks forward to hunt turkeys sooner is a better story. Regardless, turkey season is coming, Are you ready? Our industry is, with lots of new and improved equipment, techniques, stories, and resources for everyone from the novice to the expert.
Aside from turkeys, I want to remind everyone of our year-long series, The Lever Gun Chronicles, sponsored by GunBroker.com. So far, we've shared my adventure with a Marlin 44 Magnum after mountain lions, and then we heard from Kristin Alberts about why she loves lever guns. Soon we'll hear from Bill Bell and the role lever-action rifles play in cowboy action shooting, and learn all about the man who developed Hornady's LEVERevolution bullet, a true game-changer for the repeater rifle realm.
Stay tuned as we continue to bring you the latest news, information, and stories about our industry right here at The Hunting Wire!
Have a great season,
