This is the final edition of The Hunting Wire for 2024. The Outdoor Wire Digital Network will begin its annual holiday break on Friday, December 20, which will be our final day of publication for 2024. The Hunting Wire will return on Monday, January 6, 2025. If you have news for the ATA and DSC shows the first week of January, please submit your releases by 4:30pm on Friday, January 3, 2025 (earlier would be better).

2024 has been a tremendous year of growth and success for The Hunting Wire. Thanks to you, we went from a biweekly publication to a weekly one which enabled us to run more material more often and help our editorial content be faster.

 

Additionally, we have grown our network of subscribers, and continue to grow.

 

The Voice of Leadership Panel began its fifth cohort this fall and its success is a testament to the passion, talent, and leadership of our outdoor community and to our VoLP partners, The NRA's Peter Churchbourne, and the Outdoor Stewards of Conservation Foundation's Jim Curcuruto. I'd like to especially thank our publisher, Jim Shepherd, for giving me the freedom and power to create The Voice of Leadership Panel in the first place.

 

I would also like to thank my family for supporting me as the editor of The Hunting Wire(And the Archery Wire). Without their support, none of this is possible.

 

Lastly, from my family to yours, we hope you have a safe, blessed, and joyous Christmas and New Year. I look forward to seeing you in 2025.
