Sparta, Wisconsin - Team Mathews wrapped up the IBO season at the 2024 World Championship located in Berkley Springs, West Virginia, taking home four podium finishes including 1st place in Pro Release Female and Pro Senior Release.
Team Shooter’s Emily McCarthy and Cara Kelly had a great weekend finishing 1st and 3rd in Pro Release Female. McCarthy finished the 2-day event with a score of 387 and hitting 10 X’s overall. Kelly followed closely behind throughout the weekend finishing the event in 3rd place with a total score of 382 and 12 X’s.
Coming off an incredible victory at the 2024 ASA Classic, Team Shooter Tim Gillingham secured 1st place in Pro Senior Release with a commanding score of 398 with 14 X’s total.
Taking the lead in the first day of the event, Team Shooter Levi Morgan finished with a score of 209 on day one in Pro Male Release. After battling through adverse weather conditions throughout the weekend, Morgan was able to finish the final day of the event in second place with a total score of 416 and 19 X’s overall.
“The IBO World Championship is a coveted opportunity presented to the best of the best who dedicated themselves all year long in preparation for each and every tournament,” stated Mathews Pro Staff Manager Derek Phillips. “This is especially true this year with Mathews Pros Levi, Emily, Cara, and Tim. We could see their determination and drive at every tournament producing a well-earned recognition this weekend.”
