Sparks, NV The Fowl Life (TFL) with Chad Belding is proud to announce the continuation of their partnership with California Waterfowl Association (CWA) for another year to come. This partnership reflects TFL's and CWA's shared dedication to conservation, hunter advocacy, and habitat restoration. Since its founding in 1945, CWA has been a leading force in safeguarding California's natural habitats for future generations of waterfowl and hunters, pioneering conservation programs, and tirelessly advocating for hunters' rights, making them the perfect partners with TFL.
Chad Belding's unwavering "wildlife-first" philosophy guides The Fowl Life's conservation efforts, perfectly aligning with CWA's mission. Both TFL and CWA understand that without conservation efforts and strong support from the hunting community, the future of hunting is at risk. Despite a growing population, hunter numbers decline yearly posing a threat to the future of conservation. Without hunters, there is little funding for conservation. CWA stands as an advocate for hunters, challenging legislation that restricts hunting access and securing conservation easements that open thousands of acres for public hunting. Programs like The Hunt Program, The Veteran Hunt Program, and kid’s camps and events hosted by CWA provide invaluable resources, especially for youth, new hunters, and veterans by cultivating a new generation of ethical hunters and conservationists - a cause Belding has championed consistently throughout his career with passion and dedication.
"California Waterfowl is excited to continue our partnership with Chad Belding and The Fowl Life team. Over the years, TFL has been able to help promote the many wonderful programs that are so crucial to California waterfowl hunters. Working with Chad and The Fowl Life will ensure our message and challenges here in California are heard throughout the country.”

The heart of CWA’s missions is in the preservation of California’s wetlands. These wetlands are vital habitats for millions of waterfowl journeying through the Pacific Flyway. Over the years, CWA has brought back thousands of acres of essential sanctuaries, previously lost to agriculture. These wetlands serve as home to a diverse array of waterfowl species and wildlife, and CWA has completed more than 1,400 projects to protect, restore, enhance, and manage nearly 700,000 acres to achieve this. But their impact goes far beyond habitat restoration. In recent years, CWA has achieved significant milestones in waterfowl conservation, including hatching 200,000 ducklings, marking the 1,000,000th wood duck hatched, and banding over 50,000 waterfowl to support research.
"Working with California Waterfowl Association is an honor. CWA is a lifeline for the lifestyle, wildlife, and traditions we cherish as hunters. Their dedication to conserving California’s wetlands and ensuring hunters have a voice means everything to us, and it’s inspiring to see the real impact they make. From protecting critical habitats to educating the next generation of ethical hunters to banding and hatching projects to their commitment to fighting for hunters' rights on Capitol Hill, CWA embodies everything we believe in at The Fowl Life. Supporting CWA is about investing in the future of the outdoors, and there’s no better partner to stand with in this mission."

Looking forward, CWA is setting ambitious goals to amplify their impact. New habitat projects in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta and Yolo Bypass are expected to enrich feeding and nesting habitats, enhancing biodiversity across the region. CWA’s work in invasive species management and predator control ensures that California’s delicate wetland ecosystems remain balanced and thriving for future generations to come.
