"Duck Camp Dinners: Season 4 Explores Texas’ Rich Outdoor Culture"
February 3, 2025

Southlake, Texas – Outdoor America, the network for people passionate about outdoor sports and recreation, is proud to announce the network world premiere for season four of Duck Camp Dinners, which is filming now.

With a focus on hunting, Louisiana cuisine, and storytelling, Duck Camp Dinners follows Chef Jean-Paul Bourgeois, who grew up with a love for waterfowling, and his friends as they hunt ducks on the blackwater bayous of Louisiana. The program not only focuses on the hunt but also on the culture and stories that are a part of the duck hunting tradition of the area – not to mention the fabulous Cajun cuisine prepared at their duck camp. It’s an ongoing story about friendship, food, and hunting at a Louisiana duck camp.

The duck camp is a refuge filled with gunpowder, tall tales, and boudin. It’s a welcome spot for hunters trying to escape the hustle and bustle of modern life. It’s a chance to explore the Louisiana outdoors, the beautiful wetlands, and wildlife habitats unique to the area. With three seasons completed, filming is already underway on season four of Duck Camp Dinners, which will air exclusively on Outdoor America.

Season four takes the series beyond Louisiana for the first time, venturing into Texas. Titled Duck Camp Dinners: The Texas Tour, the new season explores the rich history surrounding food, waterfowl, and outdoor culture in the Lone Star State. The crew will travel coastal Texas shooting redheads, gigging flounder, and eating spring rolls before heading north to West Texas to hunt sandhill cranes and enjoy barbecue and Tex-Mex.

Chef Jean-Paul Bourgeois expressed his enthusiasm for the new direction: “Duck Camp Dinners has long been a show that all Louisianians could take pride in. Now, traveling to Texas marks the first time we take the show out of Louisiana and into a state I have grown to love and admire. The people, the food, and the abundant outdoors made Texas the perfect state to expand the authentic storytelling viewers expect from Duck Camp Dinners. I am honored and proud to work with Outdoor America on Duck Camp Dinners season four while introducing the show and its stories to a new swath of folks craving authentic and entertaining television.”

Shaan Akbar, founder of AV Labs, shared his thoughts on the series and its impact: “I believe in a creator- and producer-first mentality, where we invest our energy into creating fresh content with new faces and ideas. We’re returning to the roots of unscripted content, discovering new people, cultures, and worlds, much like television used to. Ultimately, AV Labs’ strategy is built around a waterfall or flywheel effect, where content-creator partnerships and ideas scale and evolve into innovative opportunities. We’re helping redefine the playbook and create new rules in an industry that needs it. It's more than just ad insertion and tech; it’s about building long-lasting relationships that translate into authentic and thoughtful campaigns.

“I’m excited to work with creators like Chef Jean-Paul Bourgeois, whose genuine nature and authentic storytelling resonate with a loyal and high-quality fanbase. His show exemplifies music, heritage, food, and a level of production that truly blows the competition out of the water. The way JP and the entire team in the field work tirelessly to bring this series to life is a testament to their dedication, and we’re proud to help amplify it. I’m excited to showcase what high-quality branded entertainment can do for audiences and brands, tapping into authentic people and their stories that drive measurable results. I deeply appreciate partners like Outdoor America who share this vision.”

“‘Duck Camp Dinners’ beautifully captures the camaraderie, culture, and culinary traditions that define life in the great outdoors. From the duck blind to the dinner table, this series celebrates the stories and flavors that bring hunters together. We’re proud to bring this authentic and heartfelt show to Outdoor America,” said Jamie Wilkinson, Executive Vice President of Outdoor America.
