Pheasants are being released on 13 state game/wildlife areas throughout southern Michigan this fall. Releases will take place through Nov. 14 on 13 areas and Dec. 1-31 on 10 areas, coinciding with pheasant hunting season.

Pennsylvania hunting and furtaker licenses for the 2023-24 license year will expire June 30, and hunters will need new licenses for the 2024-25 license year to begin July 1. New licenses go on sale Monday, June 24, and hunters no longer need to purchase a general license before getting an antlerless deer license.

Wild turkey hunters across Ohio checked 15,535 birds during the spring 2024 season which concluded on Sunday, May 26, according to the Ohio DNR Division of Wildlife. The total statewide harvest represents all turkeys checked from April 20 to May 26, and includes the 1,785 birds taken during the two-day youth season April 13-14.

Only a few days remain to submit applications for 2024 fall hunt permit-tags issued through the Arizona Game and Fish Department’s (AZGFD) draw process for deer, turkey, javelina, bighorn sheep, bison, and sandhill crane. All applications must be received by 11:59 p.m. (Arizona time) Tuesday, June 4, 2024.
