Brenham, Texas – Legendary outdoorsmen Luke Clayton and Larry Weishuhn recently released their latest joint book, POOR MAN’S GRIZZLY with chapters created around wild hog hunting facts, hunts, hunting techniques, guns and equipment for hunting hogs, fun and entertaining stories, and some extremely tasty recipes. “With the explosion of feral hog populations across much of North America opportunities for hunting wild pork are at an all time high as is the interest in pursuing them!” States Phil Massaro who wrote the book’s Foreword.
“Older boars with their thick cartilaginous shield protecting their vitals and razor-sharp tusks are tough, tenacious and potentially dangerous. This lead J. Wayne Fears, Johnnie Hudman and me, years ago ,to calling wild boars the Poor Man’s Grizzly!” said Larry Weishuhn regarding the book’s title.
“Our POOR MAN’S GRIZZLY is liberally illustrated with black and white photos. It’s a book you will enjoy whether you’re a serious wild hog hunter, a future hog hunter, or simply enjoy reading good stories and learning about great pork recipes.” Stated co-author Luke Clayton; “Autographed copies of our POOR MAN’S GRIZZLY as well as our initial CAMPFIRE TALK books are available through our websites www.catfishradio.org and www.larryweishuhn.net.”
