The NSSF +ONE Program Partners with the IHEA-USA LearnHunting.org Platform

The IHEA-USA announced that it is excited to announce a mutually beneficial partnership between its LearnHunting.org platform and the NSSF +ONE Movement.

The +ONE Movement is a mission to grow the shooting sports developed by the NSSF to invite new hunters and shooters to experience the outdoors. It recognizes that if just 1 out of 3 hunters introduces one new person to hunting, it would secure hunting for generations to come. This philosophy aligns with and supports the IHEA-USA LearnHunting.org Platform, designed to match new adult hunters with experienced hunters to show them the ropes.

The foundation of the LearnHunting.org platform offers mentoring and education, which, when partnered with the +ONE Movement, not only allows experienced hunters looking to mentor through the +ONE program direct access to students but also gives them access to professional training for mentoring. LearnHunting.org offers these potential new mentors modern training on how to mentor and teach specific hunting techniques with courses from subject matter experts, setting them up for mentoring success.

"We are looking forward to collaborating with the IHEA-USA -- our latest +ONE Official Partner -- and its constituency of educators to create more inclusive communities and expansive opportunities for aspiring hunters and target shooters," said Justin Morrissey, NSSF +ONE Liaison and Director, Social Media. "Our industry takes great pride in leading in safety and education advocacy. With the help of IHEA and its programs and the growing +ONE community, I think we're setting the stage for a meaningful revolution in outdoor mentorship."

Alex Baer, Executive Director of the IHEA-USA, added, "It is always exciting to discover new ways to grow with long-standing partners. Together, the IHEA and the NSSF can now offer a clear path forward for those committed to helping others learn to hunt."

It can be difficult for people to commit to mentoring and a little overwhelming to tackle all the questions mentees may ask. The IHEA is committed to help with this. It’s LearnHunting.org platform currently offers ten educational courses helping potential mentors with everything from general teaching techniques to discussing difficult topics like Hunting Ethics and Hunting Related Diseases. New educational courses are introduced regularly for both mentors and students.
